I dyed the yarns pictured below following instructions in the new book Yarns to Dye For and they take dye beautifully.

This feels the same weight as "Opal" yarn. It is a 3ply that is 75% superwash wool (non-shrinking) and 25% nylon for durability.

Superwash Merino/Tencel 51%/49%
Sock weight: 3 ply 1,650 yds/lb
This is a terrific sock yarn. It is a 3 ply with 50% Superwash Merino wool and 50% Tencel. It is exceptionally soft and has a sheen that makes dye take well and glisten. It is 1650/yards per pound.Tencel is a super lustrous manufactured cellulose like its cousin Rayon Viscose. It becomes jewel-like with dye. Has a super-nice, feel and great texture.
